I’m a graduate from Texas State University with a B.S. in journalism and a music minor.
My two great passions are film and music.
I have to say film impacted me first. My earliest memories go back to age 4 when I saw Jurassic Park (1993), Back to the Future (1985) and Speed (1994). The Star Wars trilogy (1977-83) and Toy Story (1995) soon followed. I’ve experienced many films since and continuously added to my collection in recent years.
Music began to impact my life around the age of 10 when I took up playing the drums. I have since played in several small rock bands and marched on two drumlines (high school and college) over a period of six years. I write music in my spare time and long for the day when I can just “create musical fusion” with friends.
I enjoy writing as well, which spawns from my love of film and music. Watching and listening to an inspiring piece can grow many ideas in one’s head, and eventually those ideas begin to mold into something more.
